Featuring a proven braided design, each cable is made of 40 conductors with 0.08 mm in diameter, in a sixteen-wire to eight-wire continuous braid configuration, with no soldering needed. Braiding the wires minimizes the energy of the magnetic fields created by each wire, allowing us to achieve proper noise and signal interference reduction. This technique accomplishes two main objectives: reduces outgoing noise and reduces incoming noise related to electromagnetic interference.

Which headphones does the ULTRA Cable fit?
The ULTRA Cable ends in dual 4-pin mini-XLR connectors at the headphone side, so it works with our headphones that use that connection, including ARTA. If you are not sure which connector your model uses, check the headphone socket or ask us before you order and we will confirm the right fit.
Which source-end connector should I choose, and can I use it balanced and single-ended?
You can order the ULTRA Cable with one of four source terminations: 3.5 mm, 4.4 mm, 6.3 mm, or 4-pin XLR. The 4.4 mm and 4-pin XLR options are balanced, while the 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm options are single-ended. Each cable is built with a single fixed source connector, so choose the one that matches the amplifier or DAC output you plan to use most.
Which length should I choose, and can I request a custom length?
The ULTRA Cable comes in standard 1.2 m (3.9ft) or custom up to 10 m (32.8ft). A shorter cable suits a desktop setup close to your amplifier, while a longer one gives you more freedom to move around. Because every cable is built individually, you simply tell us the length you would like when you place your order.
Can I change the length or connector after I have ordered?
Because each ULTRA Cable is hand-built to the specification you choose, changes may not be possible once production has begun. If you need to adjust your order, please contact us as soon as you can and we will do our best to help before your cable enters production.
What difference does a pure-silver cable actually make?
Silver is the most electrically conductive metal, which lets the signal pass with very little resistance and minimal degradation. In practice we are aiming for a clean, transparent and uncoloured sound: highs that stay airy and extended without turning harsh, fine detail that comes through with lifelike precision, and bass that stays tight and controlled. The goal is to let you hear your music as it was recorded rather than to add a flavour of our own.
Why silver instead of copper?
Silver conducts electricity better than any other metal, copper included. That higher conductivity means lower resistance and less signal loss, which supports the transparent, detailed presentation the ULTRA Cable is designed to deliver.
What does 7N, or 99.99999% purity, mean?
"7N" is shorthand for seven nines, meaning the silver is 99.99999% pure. The fewer impurities there are in the metal, the more consistent its conductivity, which helps preserve the fine detail and clarity of the signal on its way to your headphones.
Will it change my headphones' tonal balance?
Our intent is transparency rather than colouration. The ULTRA Cable is designed to reduce what stands between your source and your headphones, so the character you hear comes from your music and your system rather than from the cable. Many listeners describe the result as greater clarity and control rather than a change in tonal balance.
Is the cable soldered?
The braid itself needs no soldering: the conductors are woven into one continuous sixteen-wire to eight-wire braid rather than joined along the way. The connectors at each end are then attached using Jensen solder with 5% silver content. So the signal path through the braid is solderless, while the connector terminations are carefully soldered.
What is the sixteen-wire to eight-wire braid, and what does it do?
Each cable is braided entirely by hand. It’s built from 18 wires, and every one of those wires is made up of 40 individual conductors, each just 0.08 mm thick, which are woven in a continuous 16-to-8-wire braid.
Braiding reduces the interaction between the small magnetic fields that every conductor creates, which lowers noise in two directions at once: it limits interference the cable might otherwise pick up from its surroundings, and it keeps crosstalk between the conductors to a minimum.
What are the shells and Y-splitter made of, and how durable are they?
The shells and Y-splitter are cast from zinc alloy and finished with a PVD coating, chosen to be hard-wearing. Their aerodynamic, curved form sits comfortably and securely in the hand, and the shape deliberately echoes the sense of unimpeded flow that the pure silver conductors are built to deliver.
What gauge are the conductors?
Each of the 40 conductors measures 0.08 mm in diameter, which is close to 40 AWG per conductor, and they are combined in the braid to form the cable's full cross-section.
What is Streamline Moderne, and who designed the ULTRA Cable?
The ULTRA Cable was designed by our product designer Szabolcs Ferenczi, who drew on Streamline Moderne, a movement within Art Deco known for sleek, aerodynamic shapes, smooth curves and a feeling of speed and movement. The result is a cable that pays tribute to that bygone era while feeling entirely at home in a modern high-end system.
How long does delivery take, and why?
Every ULTRA Cable is built by hand, individually, only after you place your order, and we finish just one cable per day so that each one meets our quality standard. Please allow three to four weeks for delivery. Within 48 hours of your order we will email you an estimated dispatch date based on our current production queue. It will be worth the wait.
How do I care for and clean the ULTRA Cable?
Your ULTRA Cable arrives in a premium hard case that keeps it protected wherever you go. Inside, it rests beneath an Alcantara cloth, which is there both to present the cable beautifully and to double as a maintenance cloth for keeping the metal shells and connectors in pristine condition. Store the cable in its case when it is not in use, and wipe the metal parts gently with the cloth.
