The Advar is nothing but top-tier machining work and I can’t imagine many hours and passes were invested into each unit. It is coherent and naturally voiced, with tasteful emphases and a surprisingly strong technical performance from a single DD.

Everyday Listening

The ADVAR had a lot to live up to, and it knocks it out of the park. Its tight and powerful response is unlike a lot of IEMs on the market right now, especially for one that is not in that thousand-dollar range. Its sound signature is almost addictive with how much slam it can produce.

ADVAR provides a balanced, warm sound signature that’s incredibly addictive, with the sort of “Empyrean in an IEM” sound Meze fans have been dying for.

This is my third product from Meze, second pair of IEM's. This is a dramatic improvement over their previous Rai Penta IEM's. The sound quality has so much more depth and provides a soundstage typically found with over ear headphones. Fantastic response across the entire frequency range. Their efficiency allows them to easily work with my Iphone, with and without a separate unpowered earman DAC. Strongly recommend them to anyone looking for wired IEMs.

Amazing IEM's!!!

I received these for a father's day gift this year.
They are simply amazing! They are very musical and revealing. There is not a huge sound stage but what is there is fantastic! It's a different kind of soundstage. I feel like they transport me to the music (rather than bringing the music to me) in that I feel I'm in the recording studio or up on stage, in the middle of everything. In that way they are very intimate sounding. I would consider these to be neutral IEM's that lean slightly warm. I hate using the term "neutral" as I feel when I think of "neutral" I think of boring or dull sounding and these are neither.

Equipment I've used: 1) An LG V60 mobile phone streaming Tidal or listening to ripped CD's, 2) Streaming Tidal on Audirvana (on an Asus laptop) to a Schiit Modi 3 (with the ak chip) to a Schiit Vali 2, & 3) Streaming Tidal on Audirvana Studio (on a Macbook Pro) to an Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt.

The Advar's sounded great in all 3 setups but they were particularly fantastic with the Cobalt Dragonfly. The LG V60 is a close second. The Schiit stack is good but I've never loved the Modi 3 - it's long over due for an upgrade.

Overall, I am very happy with these and highly recommend them!
