I hear all the instruments, specifically, and where they're located. I had a track come on that was a live recording, and it just picked me up and boom, now you're here!
Instrument separation is fantastic on this. Clarity for trailing ends of tones is also excellent. It's a very spacious and open-sounding headphone.
This is a seriously well-designed and thoroughly executed product which gives an absolutely top-tier rendition of recorded music. As such, if you're in the market for a dream headphone design, these are well worth auditioning.
With the Empyrean II, Meze Audio is walking into a new direction. In this new tuning, neutrality, clarity, speed and spaciousness are keywords.
The comfort, the ergonomics, the build. It's all beyond top notch. Meze has set an extremely high bar for what a fun headphone can be.

Loved the looks and the quality. The sound is great. But still after 14 days of listening to many genres the sound does not live up to the $3,000 dollars pricetag, which is still got me thinking whether to return the item or not. Also great custumer service.
These are my first Meze pair of headphones and I am blown away by design, quality of craftsmanship and exeptional sound. Timbre of accoustic instruments is superb, seperation of instruments top notch. Realy breathtaking experience. On top of that Empyrean II are exeptionally comfortable and every part can be replaced if anything happens.
1. Höhenverstellung: Verstellt sich leider versehentlich bereits beim Aufsetzen und wieder absetzen des Kopfhörer.
-> Es sollte möglich sein, die eingestellte Höhe fixieren zu können, vor allem wenn man nur der Einzige Benutzer ist.
-> Im AfterSale oder in Zukunft mitliefern von 5,0mm langen Hülsen/Röhrchens, die man auf die Welle der Höhenverstellung stecken kann. (Jeweils beidseitig)
2. Art der Höhenverstellung: Eine Höhenverstellung ohne Rastung kann sich leicht verstellen und es passiert leichter, dass man ungewollt Links und Rechts unterschiedlich einstellt.
-> Hier wäre eine Rastung besser und dann würde Punkt 1 ebenfalls entfallen.
3. Kopfband aus Carbon:
Aktuell kann man die Anpresskraft der Ohrpolster nicht einstellen oder verändert.
-> Ein Kopfband aus Federstahl anbieten, dass der Benutzer für seinen Kopf zurecht biegen kann.
Mir ist persönlich der Kopfhörer auf dem Kopf viel zu lose und verrutscht sehr leicht. Der Anpressdruck ist für mich viel zu leicht.
(Ich verstehe natürlich, warum man eher einen entspannten Sitz gewählt hat, da dieser den meisten Benutzern besser gefällt. Man sollte sich auch nicht mit den Kopfhörern bewegen oder gehen...dann ist klar, dass sich diese verrutschen.
-> Ich meine aber, dass bei mir die Kopfhörer regelrecht komplett vom Kopf nach vorne rutschen, wenn ich mich etwas nach vorne lehne, um etwas auf dem Tisch zu lesen.)
Ansonsten macht Ihr einen super Job und seit eine sehr sympathische Firma für mich. :)
