Steve Morley Item, or Stevi Item, is an Indonesian guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer. He is best known as the founder and guitarist of DeadSquad, a technical Death metal band from Indonesia. Stevi Item is also the guitarist and songwriter of the Indonesian rock band, Andra, and The Backbone. Stevi item was born March 29, 1979, in Jakar ta, Indonesia, to Jopie Item, an Indonesian senior jazz guitarist, and Evie Aquanthie Aziz.
He is the second oldest child among his siblings — Echa Item, Audy Item, and Yai Item. Growing up in a strong musical family, Stevi Item began to play guitar at a young age. During his high school senior year, he auditioned as a guitarist for Iwa K, a pioneer in the Indonesian hip hop scene, and went on tour with Iwa K as an additional guitar player.
